I'm fairly new here, but I've been reading a few of the older topics. A lot of people not only not like Cyborg's episodes, but they just don't like him either! I mean what the hell!
ALRIGHT, alright, I'll admit that some of his episodes are very cliche to say the least - like the way he defeats Brother Blood by 'magically' hacking into his mind, or the way he defeated Atlas by just 'trying harder'- but he's had a lot more good episodes!
Just look at 'Cyborg the Barbarian'! This is one of the best episodes of the series, IMO, as I was like 'damn' when Raven pulled him back in the end. Another good episode was 'Betrayal'. Stone gave us a chance to see what human Vic may have been like. Another example of a cool Cyborg episode is 'The Sum of his Parts' was good and dark, for those that like that sort of thing. It also revealed alot about Cyborg's fears.
Not only is Cy good is his own episodes, but he makes a good supporting character too! Even the haters have to admit he kicks major butt - The End Pt.1 (Titans vs. Plasmus, he lifts a friggin building), he can be funny - (Revved Up - he and BB were hilarious), and he can also be supportive of his fellow team mates - (Go! - Cyborg persuades Raven to be more social.)
Now for all you nay-sayers who still hate the king of GameStation, I have two strong words for you...
..come on! Come on!

That was "Deception" ^.^ I can see where you got them mixed up though..the whole thing is similar.
And yeah...I blame it on the lazy-*** writers. I mean, Overdrive was a good one for him, as it was a recent new thing they talked about. Sum of His Parts was good as that was the first/original "Man is greater than machine", AND it brought in one of the more popular side-characters of the series. I've found that fanfic writers who focus on Cyborg can pull out a LOT of character thematics with him.
Unfortunately, none of those people were show writers, and the show's staff got stuck with writers who felt the need to beat the "Man is grater than Machine" theme into our heads every time Cyborg had a focus episode until half the viewers hated him for it.
I think the bit I like with Cyborg is his multi-attention personality. He's got the dark brooding side, he's got the wise-*** humor, he's got the exuberant happy side, and even a comedic side to him. He's got a side to him that clicks with just about all the other titans. Unfortunately people sometimes take a multifaceted personality like that to equal out as no personality -_- .

I like him. He's mostly machine, but he's really just a regular guy.
He can be supportive, but when it's time to work, he gets right in the middle of things. He can pretty much relate well with the others, they all have qualities he sees in himself.
