As the new season five gradually makes it's premiere, I find myself slightly disapponited with it. I mean the last episodes, "Homecoming" pts 1 + 2, were off timing in my case, but the doom patrol was definitely worth watching.
However, this discussion is about Trust, not about what happened two weeks ago.
Trust delievered a show based on an almost disappearing character, Hotspot. And yes, I squealed when I saw him (lol). It showed hotspot's personality perfectly, and aside from Madame Rouge's slightly disgusting powers, it was one heck on an episode.
I loved the new shakey camera effects they were adding in the fight scenes, it flowed perfectly, and to be able to see hot spot's abilities in full power, and him in human form... that was perfect.
And did anyone notice that Raven, Robin, and Cyborg had no lines, and on top of that... something was wrong with Starfire's voice... maybe the voice actor had a bad day... cause it made my skin crawl. And also, wasn't it weird how Robin told Starfire, "Tell Raven and the others..." Ha ha... sorry I'm an R/R shipper xD
The thing I hated about this episode was the out of characterness of Robin, and how dumb they made Hotspot. I mean he had nice fighting skills and his voice was awesome (it was done by a different actor this time) but he was just soo dumb! I go pissed at just watching what was so predictable slip right under hotspot's noise! And how the heck did Rouge survive the last attack, and on top of THAT how would Robin fall for something like that, he's come from an earlier work with a detective, you'd think he'd be a bit more... careful... I mean Robin's kind of the paranoid one right?
And fighting with Madame Rouge... you know why did Robin decided to go and fight her hand-to-hand, so his birdarangs didn't work the first time, come on a boy who has freeze disks, grapples, explosive disks, etc decides to fight an extremely tough villain with his fists and legs, Robin's not stupid... but I think everyone was supposed to be in this episode. (lol)
Heck I woudl have just thrown my frozen disks at her, that's how in Batman Beyond, Batman, and Bruce defeated Inque, and extremely tought villain who was slightly similar to Rouge... i mean hello... on top of that... with hotspot, I would have created a heatwave to melt her a- I mean behind!
ah it was a stupid episode with stupid people lol, I liked Mallah thought him and the brain playing chess were funny lol... gee and the brain's stupid voice get's on my nerves I wanna like eat his brain lol
But yeah that's my review I give trust a
7/10
